”Imaginary and observational birds using watercolour” in person workshop with Kriksis

Join picture book illustrator Kriksis for 2h to explore watercolour medium, get inspired by observation & imaginary and paint your birds.
Each of us will explore sketching different birds from references I provide and having a go at combining different bird features and playing with colours to create our own composition of birds. I will also cover different watercolour techniques and colour palette harmony that could help not only in this session but for future artwork creation.

You will go home with A4 watercolour artwork and sketches of different birds you can revisit and continue your bird- painting journey.

All materials for each session will be provided, but if you want to bring something specific that you think could be useful in this workshop feel free to do so.

This is happening during the joint exhibition of me and Melanie Chadwick 5th-11th October at Coast, Colour, Canvas Gallery, Roskilly.
